In the years 2000-2001, the group undertook its biggest project to date; the construction of the €8.5m Forest Park Leisure Centre. The project was funded by the €4.5 million profit from the holiday homes development and part-funded by the Department of Arts, Sport & Tourism and Wexford County Council.
Forest Park Leisure Centre is a state of the art leisure centre that includes a 25 metre pool, kid’s pool, 65m water slide, fun pool, gym, café, beauty salon and lots more! It is also one of the first eco-friendly leisure centres in the country as all our heating comes from our sustainable energy bio-mass boiler system and in the very near future all our electricity and hot water needs will be supplied buy our very own wind turbines and solar panel heating system.
The leisure centre has operated on a profitable basis since opening in 2001.
